Isn't QNT unnecessary if banks pay in dollars?

No. The dollars buy QNT, which is locked for the licence term. 1 2 Fiat only spares the bank from handling crypto itself. Why fiat still means QNT demand

Is QNT still required on Overledger today?

Yes. Gilbert Verdian: “Every single developer and customer has to purchase a license and pay for transactions in QNT.” Enterprises can pay in fiat, and Quant handles their QNT. 2

Why is QNT on Ethereum if Quant is chain-agnostic?

It was issued as an ERC-20 token in 2018. 1 Ethereum was the most mature and stable option at the time, and arguably still is. On Fusion it is the native token of a network that spans many ledgers. 4

Where is QNT being used?

In Overledger licences and transaction fees, 2 in Treasury locks for enterprise licences, 1 and in Fusion node stakes. 4 Enterprise deal sizes are confidential. 5

Is the supply fixed?

Yes. The supply is 14,881,364 QNT, and none has been created since the 2018 sale. 6 Whether the cap is hard-coded doesn't matter much. The token must stay flexible enough to migrate away from Ethereum if ever needed, and Quant is a trusted party in all QNT dealings anyway. Supply

Why do sites show two supply figures?

The 2018 report said 14,612,493; the contract shows 14,881,364. Most likely a reporting error.

What happens to locked QNT when the price rises?

Some is released to the Treasury at renewal, because the lock is set in fiat. 5 The Treasury may keep it for other clients rather than sell it. 1

Can I stake QNT on Fusion?

Not yet. Mainnet is for selected institutions; a retail opening with staking is planned. 7 Announced

Does QNT give me a share of Quant's profits?
